Sarah Poythress, Virginia Sea Grant Sponsored Intern

I am a local that grew up in Virginia Beach. As a senior at Norfolk State University, I hope to teach science once I graduate. My major is Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Biology and Education. I have a passion for creative projects and teaching. I am very interested in the work Wetlands Watch is doing to educate the public of the importance of our wetlands and local plant life. Learning how ecosystems impact our daily environment and how we also play a role in that, I find very fascinating. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow with the organization this summer.
