May Natural Resource Bill Signing Event
Governor Spanberger signing the five bills into law
On May 6, 2026, Ian Blair, Wetlands Watch’s Policy Program Coordinator, was invited by the Spanberger Administration to attend a Natural Resource Bill Signing at Widewater State Park. He represented Wetlands Watch to celebrate the signing of five bills that he, alongside other members of the Virginia Conservation Network (VCN), worked to pass into law. Throughout the regular General Assembly session from January through March we advocated for legislative change that supports the environmental and public health outcomes we want to see in the Commonwealth. We are proud to see our work come to fruition with the signing of these five bills, including several bipartisan efforts. Read more about the legislation below:
